What’s On

COVID-19 update

We have cancelled events that were set to take place, including our health walks, Countryside & Parks Conservation Group activities, and our Neaten & Natter and Event Volunteer sessions.

Events and activities organised by others have also been cancelled or put on hold. Please check the individual organiser’s website for more details.

Beacon Park’s play area and public toilets are open. However, the Ranger Station is now closed and pay for play activities, such as golf and tennis, are unavailable. The skatepark has aslo been closed temporarily. If visiting, please follow social distancing guidance and put litter in a bin or take it home with you.

In the meantime, you may enjoy our wellbeing activities that you can do in any green open space…

Head out to the great outdoors!

Park Pause

Be in the moment and head out to one of the district’s parks or green open spaces and have a go at a series of wellbeing activities.

From breathing techniques and using all your senses, to spotting colours in nature and getting up close and personal with tree bark, our Park Pause booklet has eight activities to help you take time in nature to benefit your health and wellbeing and reduce stress.

And, for everyone who enjoys Park Pause, we’ve put together more activities in an extra booklet so there are plenty of ways to practice boosting your wellbeing.

Sorry, there are no upcoming events.
