Lakeside Bistro

There are two eating establishments in Beacon Park, these are Chandlers Cafe and Lakeside Bistro, which are both run by the Chandlers Group.

Chandlers Cafe

Chandlers Cafe is on your left as you enter Beacon Park from Swan Road. It has outdoor seating overlooking the stunning Museum Gardens, and offers hot and cold drinks, ice creams, sandwiches and much more.

Lakeside Bistro

Lakeside Bistro is next to Beacon Park’s boating pool, children’s play area and golf facilities. Not only is it in the heart of the park, it is also south facing to make the most of any good weather!

It offers indoor and outdoor seating, has takeaway options and is open seven days a week. It is also a great venue for parties and functions.

The menu offers plenty of choice, including breakfast meals and snacks, hot and cold drinks, lunch specials, sandwiches, burgers, cakes, pastries, ice creams and children’s meals.

Toilets

You will find public toilets, including accessible toilets with baby changing facilities, in Swinfen Broun Pavilion, next to Beacon Park’s boating pool.

Opening times:

October to March: 8.30am to 4pm (Mon to Fri) and 9am to 4.30pm (Sat and Sun)
April: 8am to 5pm
May and June: 8am to 6pm
July and August: 8am to 7pm
September: 8am to 5pm

Discovery Hub

Discovery Hub

The Discovery Hub is in the heart of Beacon Park next to the bowling greens. It is used to hold park workshops and is also used by the bowling clubs as their club house.

The Discovery Hub is a great place to hold meetings, talks and workshops for up to 20 people. It has toilets and kitchen facilities. See our prices page.

Ranger Station

Lichfield District Council’s parks team is based in Beacon Park. If you want to speak to a member of the team, visit the Ranger Station, which is the kiosk between Lakeside Bistro and the crazy golf course.

It is also where you can pay for tennis and golf, hire sports and leisure equipment, and stock up on duck feed. You can also hire trays for pond dipping, and buy a bucket, net and spade, pirate hats and swords, dog balls, and much more.
