Beacon Park

A great day out for all the family

Beacon Park is set in more than 70 acres of beautiful gardens and open space.

Museum Gardens is the formal part of the park. With its stunning floral displays and avenue of trees, along with the centrepiece fountain, statues of Captain Smith of the Titanic, King Edward VII, and Erasmus Darwin, it is a must-see on your visit.

Beacon Park is a fantastic place to bring children. It features an enclosed playground and a larger play area, both packed with fun equipment. As it gets warmer, donkey rides, peddle boats on the pool, mini cars and more are generally available in the park.

With all of this, plus woodland walks, pond dipping, a community garden,a food kiosk in Museum Gardens, and a bistro overlooking a beautiful pool, the park offers a great day out all year round.

Beacon Park hosts an exciting programme of events, ranging from children’s activities and guided walks, through to large scale musical productions and festivals.
