Hundreds enjoy Beacon Park’s Fun Day, which took place on Wednesday 8 August 2018.

Organised by Lichfield District Council, there was a lot of fun to be had at the annual Fun Day, with games and activities, such as giant snakes and ladders, hula hooping, a barefoot walk, lots of stalls, a bouncy castle and carousel, a bungee trampoline, a mini steam train and much more.

Children and their favourite teddy bears also took part in the Teddy Games, including Ted on the Head, the Ted & Spoon Race and Teddy Wanging.

Councillor David Leytham, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “Lots of children and their families came along to the Fun Day and had fun having a go at the activities on offer. Well done to everyone who competed in the Teddy Races and to all the winners.”

There is plenty to do at Beacon Park this summer, including multi-sport sessions on Thursdays from 1pm to 2.30pm, pond dip days on 16 and 22 August, a family rounders day on 18 August, the Stride and Seek trail on 27 August, and a Story Trail which is running every day over the holidays.

These activities, and all of the council’s Summer Holiday Fun programme are listed at www.activelichfield.co.uk/holidayfun.
