More than 20 people got festive and made beautiful Christmas wreaths at Beacon Park.
Despite the heavy snow, 23 people came along to four Christmas wreath workshops that ran over Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December.
The workshops took place in Beacon Park’s Discovery Hub, and was very festive with the snow falling outside.
The groups made a lovely selection of wreaths with locally sourced greenery and festive embellishments, including pine cones, cinnamon sticks and slices of dried orange. Participants also enjoyed hot drinks and mince pies at these festive workshops.
Councillor Iain Eadie, Cabinet Member for Leisure at Lichfield District Council, said: “Well done to everyone who battled through the snow to make it to the workshops. Thank you to the parks team for hosting it and to the two park volunteers who helped out over the two days. The resulting wreaths look lovely and will give that personal feel to festive homes.”
