The sponsors of Lichfield Proms have gathered in Beacon Park to launch the big event.
2017’s Lichfield Proms is on Saturday 2 September, when thousands of people will gather in Beacon Park for a spectacular evening of entertainment. Set to feature The British Police Symphony Orchestra, the City of Lichfield Concert Band, children’s entertainment, and a fireworks finale, it is the event to end the summer in style.
The free entry event for the whole family is in its nineteenth year, and is only possible thanks to the support of local companies, organisations and individuals who sponsor it.
Lichfield District Council organise the free outdoor concert every year, and is keen to thank its sponsors for their contribution.
Councillor Iain Eadie, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park is a spectacular local event that attracts thousands of visitors from nearby and across the region.
“It’s a chance to enjoy music, a picnic and fireworks in beautiful Beacon Park among friends, and there is no better way to feel part of a community than to join in waving your Union Flag.
“It’s a huge event to plan and stage, and without our fantastic sponsors, it just couldn’t happen. I am sure everyone is very grateful to them all for their support, and will join me in saying a very big thank you.”
