Musuem Garden works

The repair works are taking place on a section of grass behind the Erasmus Darwin statue

Severn Trent Water worked overnight on 14 February in Museum Gardens to clear a blocked sewer pipe with high pressure jetting, with the intention of inserting a foil lining to the damaged pipe. However, they were unable to complete this as the pipework is in a worse state than anticipated.

As a result, Severn Trent Water will need to section off an area in Museum Gardens (the grassed area to the right as you walk in through the main gates, behind Erasmus Darwin statue) to start works to lay new pipework. The works are expected to take between four and six weeks and to start soon.
