Almost 80 people of all ages tried out stand up paddle boarding at Stowe Pool over the weekend.
Central SUP offered free tasters in stand up paddle boarding at Stowe Pool on Saturday 21 May.
The water sport involves balancing on a board (much like a surfboard) and getting around by using a paddle.
Instructors took small groups out over the day, with around 80 people taking part over all.
Councillor Andy Smith, Cabinet Member for Leisure & Parks at Lichfield District Council, said: “This is the first time Lichfield’s seen paddle boarding and I am pleased so many people got to try it out for free. We’re hoping stand up paddle boarding become a regular activity on Stowe Pool, so watch this space!”
