Enjoy a walk through three historic parks in Lichfield as part of the National Forest Walking Festival this month.
To celebrate the National Forest Walking Festival, Lichfield District Council is inviting everyone to join in a series of free walks round Beacon Park, Minster Pool and Stowe Pool.
The guided walks will take place on Wednesday 18, Sunday 22 and Wednesday 25 May, from 10am to around 11.30am.
The circular walk, setting off from Greenhough Road car park on the edge of Beacon Park, will follow a route round Beacon Park, Minster Pool, onto Stowe Pool and back again.
Volunteers and park staff will join in the walks so they are on hand for informal chats about the parks and ways locals can get involved with them.
Councillor Andy Smith, Cabinet Member for Leisure & Parks at Lichfield District Council, said: “Lichfield Historic Parks offer great walks as they’re each so different, from Beacon Park’s formal gardens and woodland and Minster Walk’s views across to the cathedral, to all the wildfowl on Stowe Pool. Going on one of these walks is a great way to get exercise, get closer to nature and meet local volunteers.”
There is no need to book any of the walks – just turn up at Greenhough Road car park and enjoy!
