You’ll be hopping mad if you miss out on any of Beacon Park’s Easter holiday activities.

There is plenty of fun on offer at Beacon Park this Easter. Families can follow an Easter-themed trail round beautiful Beacon Park, to solve clues and claim a small prize. The trails cost £1 each and will be available from Beacon Park’s Ranger Station between 19 March and 10 April from 9am to 4pm.

The city park is set to hold an Easter bonnet workshop on Friday 25 March. Costing £2.50 a bonnet, the drop-in activity will run between 10am and 1.30pm in the park’s Discovery Hub. This will lead up to an Easter bonnet parade, starting at Museum Gardens, at 2pm. There is even a small prize for the most creative bonnet.

Children and families are also invited to take on an Xplorer navigational challenge on 6 April from 11am to 2pm. Costing 50p per child, Xplorer involves finding the points marked on a map and answering a question at each marked spot.

Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure & Parks, said: “Beacon Park is always a favourite destination for families, and there’s even more reason to visit it this Easter with all the extra activities, from the Easter trail to making an Easter Bonnet.”

Lichfield District Council’s Parks Team is also running a ‘Green Gym’ session over at the recreational area on Sainte Foy Avenue in Lichfield. Taking place on Wednesday 30 March, from 11am to 12noon, the hour-long session will include working out on the outdoor gym and fitness equipment. It costs £1 to take part and is for anyone age 11 or over.
