Hundreds of people took part in free activities and found out how to keep fit and have fun at Lichfield District Council’s Leisure Day.

Lots of people of all ages had a taster of just some of activities Lichfield District Council’s Leisure Services has to offer at a Leisure Day, held in Beacon Park on Wednesday 27 May.

Children enjoyed a go on mini tennis, football fans had a kick-about in the Panna inflatable ring, and a steady flow of people showed off their moves on dance mats.

Passers-by also took the opportunity to talk to the leisure experts who were on hand to tell people about the huge range of activities, classes and memberships available.

Councillor Andy Smith, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “The Leisure Day was a huge success, with plenty of families stopping by to find out about the wide range of sports, classes, facilities, and children’s activities that we provide in our leisure centres and parks.”
