City of Lichfield Concert Band

Come to Beacon Park’s Museum Gardens on Sunday 7 and 21 June, between 2pm and 4pm, to enjoy free musical entertainment.

Everyone’s invited to hear the sounds of the City of Lichfield Concert Band when they perform two outdoor concerts in the historical setting of Museum Gardens.

The big band will play a varied musical programme that will feature show tunes, pop hits, film themes and popular classical music.

Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “These informal outdoor concerts were really popular with park goers last year, and I’m sure everyone will be looking forward to this year’s musical offerings.

“The Lichfield City Concert Band has long been entertaining the crowds at our very own Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park, which is taking place this year on 5 September. In the meantime, we are all looking forward to hearing them play at Museum Gardens in June.”

There will be something to suit all ages and musical tastes, so bring along your picnic blankets and deck chairs and be entertained in the picturesque surroundings of Museum Gardens for free on 7 and 21 June.

Please note, the concerts will not go ahead if it is raining on the day.
