Beacon Park’s Plant Fair

pots and herbsFor all green-fingered folk, Beacon Park is hosting a Plant Fair on Sunday 31 May from 11am to 3pm.

Taking place in the park’s Community Garden, the Plant Fair is a free entry event that will offer plenty of inspiration for local gardeners.

From a winter bedding plant sale and presentations by horticulturalists, to a raffle and the chance to meet local allotment owners, there will be plenty going on all day.

There will also be the chance to find out about volunteering in the parks and the city council’s Little City Tree Trail, as well as activities for children, including the chance to make an origami plant pot and to plant seeds.

Neil Turner, Director of Leisure & Parks for Lichfield District Council, said: “Beacon Park is the ideal place for gardeners to get inspiration and this Plant Fair offers a great opportunity to stock up on plants and get gardening advice.”

The Plant Fair is on Sunday 31 May from 11am to 3pm in the Community Garden, which is to the side of the bowling greens.
