Take a trip down memory lane at Beacon Park’s next Community Drop-In session this month.

Lichfield District Council’s parks team is hosting a Community Drop-In session at Beacon Park’s Discovery Hub on Saturday 28 February 2015.

The drop-in session will be a chance for visitors to meet Dave Gallagher, who runs the popular ‘You’re probably from Lichfield, Staffs if…’ Facebook page, and reminisce as he brings along his collection of photos from Lichfield’s past, including some wonderful images of Beacon Park.

The session will also be the opportunity for park users to meet members of the council’s parks team, to ask questions or talk over any concerns, and to give feedback on the district’s green spaces.

Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure & Parks, said: “We really hope lots of people come along to see Dave Gallagher’s collection of photos at the Community Drop-In session. It’s also the ideal opportunity for park goers to give us their feedback, ask questions or make suggestions, so please do join us if you have any issues or if you have an idea for an event or an improvement. The team will also have more information about the many ways you can volunteer within our parks.”

The Community Drop-In session is running in Beacon Park’s Discovery Hub on Saturday 28 February between 10am and 2pm.
