Lichfield District Council is inviting families to come to the Beacon Park’s Fun Day on Wednesday 13 August, between 11am and 3pm.
Little ones and their families are invited to come to Beacon Park for fun and games this August.
A highlight of the day is the popular Teddy Bear Games, featuring races such as Ted on the Head and the Teddy Sprint.
Also on offer are plenty of fun children’s activities, food stalls, inflatables, a carousel, a barefoot walk, golf practice, a coconut shy, a dance display and more.
Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure & Parks, said: “The Fun Day is a great way to spend a summer’s day outdoors enjoying all the activities on offer. It’s also a chance for children to compete in the Teddy Bear Games and win prizes, so don’t forget to bring your teddy bear.”
To celebrate the Fun Day, Lichfield District Council is also offering one child to play golf for free when accompanied by a full paying adult. To claim the Family Golf Day offer, head to the Ranger Station, next to Lakeside Bistro, to pay for a round and hire equipment.
“We’re always keen to encourage more people to discover golf, and playing a round in the beautiful surroundings of Beacon Park is a great place to start,” continued Councillor Smith.
The event is free entry, but there is a small charge for some of the activities.
