The Little City Tree Trail

Lichfield City Council is running a free Little City Tree Trail walk on Friday 25 April.

The trail starts at Minster Pool and leads you to 12 broadleaf and coniferous trees dotted around the Garden of Remembrance and then onto Beacon Park, where it ends. Each tree has an information plaque on it, plus a post with an embossed leaf shape on top to make a brass rubbing.

Trees include English Yew, Magnolia, Foxglove, Colorado White Fir, Silver Birch, Beech, Giant Sequoia, and more.

The walk will be followed by a nature related craft workshop in Beacon Park’s Discovery Hub. The walk starts at 11am, meeting at the discovery hub. The free event is open to all, both individuals and families.

For more information and to book a place, please contact Heather Francis on 01543 309851 or email heather.francis@lichfield.gov.uk

If you can’t make it to the walk, simply pick up a free tail from Tourist Information at St Mary’s in the Market Square, Lichfield City Council’s offices in Donegal House, Lichfield District Council’s Frog Lane offices, Lichfield Library and Beacon Park. It lasts around one-hour and is suitable for all.
