A Johnsons Willow, along Stowe Pool is due to be pollarded today (12 February 2014).
By pollarding, the branches are reduced to remove the excess weight and aged limbs.
This tree work is essential maintenance, to prolong the life of the tree and for the safety of those passing by. It has been approved by our arboricultural officers.
Consent has also been given for the removal of a failed cherry tree, along the same side of Stowe. Works to fell this tree will take place soon.
