Anyone looking to stretch and strengthen their body is invited to come to a new yoga class in Beacon Park that is launching on Tuesday 18 June 2013.

The outdoor sessions are being run by Changes, a mental health and wellbeing charity that is based in the park’s Swinfen Broun Pavilion.

The class will feature Dru Yoga, which is a flowing, therapeutic form of yoga suitable for all ages and levels of fitness and flexibility.

Emma Matthews, Yoga Instructor, said: “Beacon Park is the ideal place to practice yoga as being surrounded by nature can help calm and clear the mind. Yoga is also a great form or exercise, so I hope lots of people will join me for the new class.”

Yoga in Beacon Park will take place on Tuesday mornings, from 10am to 11am, throughout the summer. Classes cost £5 each and will start from Swinfen Broun Pavilion, which is in the middle of Beacon Park next to the pool.

“Please bring a mat if you have one, although there will be some spare mats available. I also recommend bringing a drink and wearing a few layers, ready for our great British weather!” added Emma.

In case of bad weather, you can check whether the class is still running on the day by calling 01543 309770.
